By creating an account and using The Wayfinder Cellar ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Access to the app is invite-only. You must have received a valid invite code to create an account.
The Wayfinder Cellar is a personal spirits and wine collection tracker. It allows users to log, organise, and value their bottle collections, scan barcodes to identify bottles, and maintain a wish list.
The app is a personal project operated by an individual. It is not a commercial service, and no guarantee of uptime, availability, or continued operation is made.
You agree to use the app only for its intended purpose — tracking your personal bottle collection. You must not:
The app uses Google Gemini AI to power bottle lookups, field enrichment, and market valuations. You should be aware of the following:
You retain ownership of the content you add to the app — your bottle entries, tasting notes, and collection data are yours.
By adding a bottle with a barcode, you grant the app a non-exclusive licence to use anonymised product details (barcode and structured product fields only — not notes, quantities, valuations, or ownership) in the shared community product catalog to improve lookup for all users, and to retain an internal per-user sighting record for duplicate/agreement detection as described in the Privacy Policy.
The app itself — its design, code, and structure — belongs to the app owner. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute any part of it.
The app owner reserves the right to suspend or delete any account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason including (but not limited to) violation of these terms.
If your account is suspended, you will receive a notification email and will see a suspension message when you try to sign in. Your data is not deleted when an account is suspended.
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting privacy@thewayfindercellar.co.uk.
The app is provided "as is" with no guarantee of uptime or availability. The app owner may take the app offline for maintenance, updates, or any other reason at any time.
The app is a personal project and may be discontinued at any time.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app owner shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the app, including but not limited to:
The app is provided free of charge for personal use. Given this, it is reasonable that the app owner's liability is limited accordingly.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
The app owner may update these terms at any time. If changes are significant, users will be notified via the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
